The Waite Research Institute (WRI) was established to support collaboration between the Waite precinct partners, drive research and build capacity for Australia's agriculture, food and wine sectors.
To kick-start an expanded remit and to stimulate new collaborations and activity, the Waite Research Institute is launching an open call for agri-food and wine related research project applications across the University.?A total pool of $250K will be available to seed-fund both small and large projects that will lead to bigger initiatives and external funding.
The Waite Research Precinct hosts several R&D organisations, nodes and centres enabling synergies, critical mass and a rich network of collaborations.
Waite science has direct impact on the quality and resilience of some of our most important crops, on farming practices and on end product development.
The WRI aims to raise awareness of both agricultural science and the unique Waite precinct through business development and communication support.
